About the Book:
Unbelievable tales have been told of the Italians, Colombians,
and other immigrants in America, but none have been told of the Africans.
All-peoples, as he is known, believes that his destiny is to help his people, so
everything he doeswhether he is negotiating a cocaine deal, planning a murder,
or starting a restaurant chain that becomes a household nameis toward this
destiny. One of his greatest successes is his son Eze, whose most important wish
is to be accepted as his father's sonuntil a bomb blast in which innocent
people he loves are slaughtered.

The Author:
Andrew Madueke was born in Enugu, Nigeria in April 1974. The
fifth of the six sons of Felix and Victoria Madueke, he spent most of his young
life in Nigeria and in 1992, dreamed about coming to America to become a writer.
He got the chance in 1995 when the University of Texas at Arlington, Texas
offered him an admission to their college. In 1999, he graduated from the
university with a degree in Management Information Systems. He has since been
bringing to life, his utmost passion, writing. The African is his first
novel.
