The Okra principle is a story that showcases the ups and downs in the lives of three Nigerian brothers living in Dallas, Texas. Okra soup, a traditional, Nigerian dish and also, the brothers’ favorite dish is cleverly used to lighten the underlying issues that this story explores.

The eldest of the three brothers, Arinze (Chijindu Kelechi Eke) is dissatisfied in his marriage to Ifeoma who never pulls punches in speaking her mind. He is not attracted to her anymore and at a point, gets caught up in a situation that threatens the fabric of his marriage. Would their center hold?

Nonso (Nnaemeka Andrew Madueke) the second of the three brothers is married to Tasha, a beautiful, African-American girl who is very insecure in the marriage because of their cultural differences. Their marriage is quickly heading down a destructive path and none of them appear to have the intention or will to stop it.

The third brother, Chukwuma (Amaechi Felix Madueke) is engaged to be married to Chinwe, a girl from the same tribe as him but then an incident from Chukwuma’s past rears its head. Would their cultural similarity and beliefs be strong enough to carry them through?

The troubled Marcel (Iorna Handem) who is unable to commit to any girl is a good friend to the three brothers. It is to his abode that they all go to sort themselves out when their lives take different turns. A storm comes, rages and then blows over. Who will be standing after it all?   Visit www.theokraprinciplemovie.com for more information.
